Your First Visit

During your first appointment, Dr. Sunar will:

1. Review your dental and medical history. Understanding your overall health helps Dr. Sunar plan the safest treatment.

2. Take digital X-rays. High-resolution digital radiographs provide immediate diagnostic images with significantly less radiation than traditional film.

3. Perform diagnostic tests. Cold testing, electric pulp testing, and bite testing help determine which tooth is causing your symptoms and whether the pulp is healthy, inflamed, or infected.

4. Explain your diagnosis. Dr. Sunar explains exactly what is happening with your tooth, shows you the X-rays, and answers all your questions.

5. Discuss treatment options and cost. You receive a clear treatment recommendation with specific costs, insurance coverage information, and financing options before any treatment begins.

In many cases, Dr. Sunar can begin treatment — including root canal therapy — during the same visit as the consultation, saving you a separate appointment. Please plan for approximately 60 to 90 minutes for your first visit in case treatment is performed the same day.

Insurance and Payment

Referral Not Required

While many patients are referred to us by their general dentist, a referral is not required to schedule an appointment. You can call us directly at (704) 375-4252. We welcome both referred patients and self-referrals.

If you were referred by a dentist, we will send a detailed report back to your referring doctor after treatment so they can complete the final restoration (crown).

Missed Appointment / No-Show Policy

Charlotte Root Canal Center reserves appointment times specifically for each patient. When a patient fails to appear for a scheduled appointment without providing advance notice (“no-show”), that time cannot be offered to other patients who need care.

Effective immediately, the following no-show fee policy applies:

First no-show: A $125.00 fee will be applied to your account and must be paid at the time of your next scheduled appointment before treatment is rendered.

Each additional no-show: An additional $125.00 fee will be applied per occurrence. No-show fees are cumulative — each missed appointment without notice adds an additional $125.00 to the balance owed.

How to avoid the fee: If you need to cancel or reschedule, please call (704) 375-4252 at least 24 hours before your scheduled appointment. Cancellations made with 24 or more hours’ notice will not incur a fee.
